"Raviyon: The Guardian of Tomorrow .Season 1, Episode 3
The Harbinger’s Warning
The faint hum of Raviyon’s hoverbike filled the desolate air as he sped through the industrial wastelands. The encounter with Lira replayed in his mind—her glowing veins, her cryptic words, and the shockwave that had left him reeling. She wasn’t like the other Variants. She was something entirely different.
Kiera’s voice broke through his thoughts. “Raviyon, I’ve analyzed the bioelectric readings from the lab. Lira… she’s more than a Variant. Her DNA is a fusion of human and Mortivis-X genomes. She’s the link we’ve been looking for.”
“A hybrid,” Raviyon muttered. “And she called herself a harbinger.”
“If she’s leading the evolution of Mortivis-X, she could be the key to understanding its endgame,” Kiera replied. “We need to find her.”
“I’ll track her down,” Raviyon said firmly. “Did you get anything else from the lab?”
“Just fragments,” Kiera admitted. “Old logs mentioning a Project Genesis. It seems to be connected to Mortivis-X’s origins. I’m decrypting them now.”
Raviyon’s search led him to the Edge, a sprawling shantytown on the outskirts of Nova Prime. It was a chaotic maze of ramshackle buildings and flickering neon signs, home to those who had been cast aside by the city’s relentless progress. If Lira was hiding, this was the place to disappear.
He parked his bike in the shadows and activated his suit’s cloaking system. Moving through the crowded streets, he scanned for bioelectric anomalies. The Edge was a hive of activity, but something felt off. People whispered in hushed tones, their eyes darting nervously toward the alleys.
“Kiera, are you seeing this?” Raviyon asked.
“Yes,” Kiera replied. “The energy readings are spiking. Be careful.”
As Raviyon rounded a corner, he spotted a group of figures huddled near a fire. Their movements were jerky and unnatural, their eyes glowing faintly green. Variants.
Before he could react, one of them turned and snarled, alerting the others. They charged, their inhuman speed catching Raviyon off guard. He drew his plasma blade and engaged, the weapon’s glow cutting through the darkness.
The battle was brutal. The Variants fought with a feral intensity, but Raviyon’s training and advanced suit gave him the edge. He moved with precision, each strike deliberate. One by one, the Variants fell, until only silence remained.
Kiera’s voice came through his comms, laced with urgency. “Raviyon, I’ve pinpointed the source of the energy spike. It’s coming from an abandoned warehouse nearby.”
“On my way,” Raviyon replied, wiping the sweat from his brow.
The warehouse loomed ahead, its massive doors hanging ajar. Inside, the air was thick with the hum of machinery and the faint glow of bioluminescent light. Raviyon’s HUD detected multiple life forms, but none were human.
At the center of the room stood Lira, her presence commanding. Around her, Variants knelt in a circle, their glowing eyes fixed on her.
“You’ve come,” Lira said, her voice echoing. “I knew you would.”
“This ends here,” Raviyon said, leveling his blade at her.
Lira smiled faintly. “You still don’t understand. Mortivis-X isn’t your enemy. It’s your salvation. Humanity is flawed, stagnant. This is the next step.”
“At what cost?” Raviyon demanded. “How many lives have to be destroyed for your so-called evolution?”
Lira’s expression hardened. “Change is never easy, Guardian. But you… you’re different. You’ve survived where others have fallen. Perhaps you’re not as far from us as you think.”
Before Raviyon could respond, the ground shook violently. The warehouse’s walls began to crack, and a deafening roar filled the air. From the shadows emerged a massive Variant, its form grotesque and towering. Lira stepped back, her eyes glowing brighter.
“This is your test, Guardian,” she said. “Prove that you deserve to stand among the evolved.”
The creature lunged, and Raviyon braced himself. The battle for humanity’s future had begun.
